Beef Tomato Hawaiian

This recipe was one of her Mother’s favorites, and I know it will be one of your family’s go to dishes as well!

INGREDIENTS:
5 Tablespoons Soy sauce
2 Tablespoons Cornstarch
3 Tablespoons Sugar
1 Clove garlic, crushed
2 slices of fresh ginger
2 Tablespoons cooking oil
1 green pepper
4-6 stalks celery
2 medium onions
3 tomatoes
2-3 green onions
COOKING PROCESS:
Cut meat into thin strips and vegetables in large pieces. Soak meat at least 15 minutes in mixture of soy sauce, cornstarch, and sugar.
Sauté garlic and ginger in hot oil.... add meat sauté, when meat is browned remove.
Lightly sauté onions, green onions, green pepper, and celery then add tomatoes and cook 3 minutes, remove and set aside with the meat.
Thicken with a mixture of:
1/2 cup water
1 Tablespoon soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 Tablespoonw sugar
1 Tablespoon cornstarch
Bring to a boil, add everything back in and heat throughly.
Serve with rice.
